Automotive Machinist

Introduction / Our Client

Our client in the Passenger Transportation Industry is a fully BEE compliant automotive engineering company first established in 1945 initially to refurbish and service mechanical components such as engines, gearboxes, differentials and prop shafts.

Key Performance Areas.

  • Perform various machinist activities at the automotive section in the factory.
  • Re-bore, Line-bore, Crankshaft grinding, Recondition of Cylinder Heads and Connecting Rods.
  • Participate in the implementation of the Production Management Systems in the
    ( ISO 9001 )
  • Complete all job related admin, i.e. Control Sheets, Job cards, Stores Requisitions, Quality Control Sheets etc.

Job Requirements

  • Trade Test Certificate – Tested by an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience as an Automotive Machinist.
