Job Summary

As a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost effective production. You’ll play a key role in optimising machinery, improving production workflows, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
• Analyse manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety regulations and engineering standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, including CAD drawings, process flow diagrams, and maintenance plans.
• Manage small to medium engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for equipment procurement and services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng – Mechanical) or related field, Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint
