Is the leading supplier of the Southern African mineral processing industries, (gold, platinum, base metals, cement, and power generation) with exports to many African countries as well as overseas. The company’s production facility has been producing and supplying grinding for more than 70 years.
Purpose of the job:
Daily supervises and control employees in a safe manner on all maintenance, manage and coordinate recourses to ensure that the department meets the plant requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing maintenance function, sub-contractors and contractors, and coordinate recourses to ensure department meets plant requirements.
- To supervise and lead allocated shop floor maintenance team.
- To collaborate and implement all new products and assist in execution of all new maintenance processes.
- Analyses customer requirements and maintain optimal level of quality for all maintenance activities in accord to the required standards.
- Review weekly maintenance forecast and ensure availability of materials.
- Responsible for maintaining Standard Maintenance Procedures, Risk Assessments, and Management of Change.
- Monitors the quality of products & maintenance completed to ensure overall minimum downtime of the plant.
- Manage maintenance breakdowns and spares.
- Maintain daily maintenance report, log operating events, SAP administration according to the matrix role.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Diploma – Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (essential).
- Registered towards attainment of the Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
- Government Certificate of Competency qualification (Advantageous).
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical / Electrical.
- Thorough knowledge of drives, Plc, Asi, ethernet network and Induction heating machine.
- Must be computer literate and have strong background in SAP system.
- Supervisory skills – capable of overseeing, leading and directing a team.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Report writing skills.

- Communication – The Ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
